Description
Items details such as descriptions need to be be edited from time to time.
Inventory Controller XE allows for these items details to be edited such as the item description, supplier, custom fields.
Note: This article does not relate to editing the quantity of an item - refer to stock adjustments to make adjustments stock adjustment to make adjustments to quantities.

Detail Steps
To edit an item;
- Locate the item within the Item Registry
- Highlight the item within the item list.
- Double-click the highlighted item.
- Edit any details within the Inventory Details Window that require editing.
- Select Close.
- Select YES from the pop up window to save changes.
For example add description to UDF1,UDF2 and UDF3 and select Close to Save changes.
To bulk edit item details;
- Export Item List
Open export (Go to File > Export > Items > Export Items)
- Export list within Excel
- Locate Columns that require editing and edit content within items that you require editing.
Note: The Item Number column should not be edited, if this is edited then new item/s will be created and old items will not be edited. - Save changes as a text - tab delimited (TSV file) and and Import Item List .
