Assigning Default Bins

Description

Default bins can be set to preload a bin name into some transactions, for example, when a purchase is received the system will automatically load the bin name in the bin receiving field. The bin can be manually changed on the receive form to another bin if desired.

Detail Steps

To manage Putaways:

1. From the Tools menu, select Locations.

2. Select Putaway Bins…

Note:

1. The details can also be exported and imported, load one item as shown above to view the import layout.
2. Setting a default bin does not move stock on the shelf to the bin, stock can be stored in any location in the warehouse regardless of the default bin location.
3. Default bins can be setup for use on picking slips and other documents prior to picking, whereas actual stock location bins can only be shown after the stock has been picked within the software.
