Using and Assigning Barcodes to items

Description

Before using barcode scanning within Inventory Controller XE each item must reference a master barcode number.

The barcode number is not the item number and must be allocated to a Custom Field 1, 2 or 3. Custom Field 1 is selected by Default unless Preferences are altered.

In order to Add an barcode to an item in your inventory it is recommended that you setup and reserve a Custom Field as the barcode.

Detail Steps

It's important to note that you need to login as a Superuser to make these Preference Changes.

1. Go to Tools Preference (Ctrl+F9)

2. Select the Inventory Tab and give the header Barcode to either Custom Field #1 , #2 or #3
