Connection to Datapel has been terminated
Description
This document explains how to check and fix error when scanner connects then connection is terminated.
Note:
Users are unable to connect/login on scanners. On the scanner screen, a prompt "referenced account is locked" will flash for a while.
IP ban happens when user made changes to handheld and sent wrong credentials (username, password). after certain tries the ip will be banned.
Detail Steps
- Check the KTS log folder
- Check for any errors during login process
Note internal IP BAN
To clear - goto IP-BAN folder and remove IP Address file
Check the KTS.INI file
Consider IP = 0 or increase the connection count to reduce the chance of IP BANS. Default is 10 - here it was increased to 100.
