Backup and Restore

Description

Backing up your database is one of the key maintenance activities that should be performed on regular basis. Having most recent backups minimize the loss of data and any other business risks caused by the same. If you have a recent backup, you can be back in business after catastrophic events such as hard drive crashes

Detail Steps

To backup Inventory Controller XE database

1. Go to File → Backup → Backup in the menu.
2. Click Backup Now.
3. If error pops up as below , check if  SQL 2014 compatibility installed in the server .
    

To restore a backup to Inventory Controller XE system

1. Go to File → Backup → Restore in the menu.
2. Browse the backup file (usually a .zip file).
3. Click Restore Now…
