ICXE - Setup & Create Locations

DESCRIPTION

A location can be thought of as physical inventory storage facility like a warehouse or store room. 

To manage inventory you need to create at least one location for stock items to be booking into and out from. 

STEPS

Press CTRL+4 or select menu Lists - New - Location. 

Now click on the Add option in the top left command bar. In this example we are creating a Storeroom as our virtual stock warehouse. The address is used to identify the location on forms and paperwork generated from ICXE.

All Locations must have a unique Location ID - the Location ID is the key reference field used throughout ICXE to identify where you are picking or placing stock. With ICXE it is possible to have Bins/Bays or sub-Locations within each location, for example a Quarantine area or Defects bin.
