Creating and Editing Locations

Description

This document explains how to create and edit Locations. Locations are the places where the bins and inventory reside. Usually the location is a building or a site where there are multiple bins defined for the locations.

Detail Steps

In order to create a new location in Inventory Controller XE system, follow the below steps:

1. Go to Lists → New → Location OR press Ctrl+4.
   
2. Click Add… button in Locations screen.
3. In New Add Location… screen, enter the Location Name.
4. Enter an appropriate location identifier in Loc ID.
5. Fill in the Address information.
6. Fill in the Notes.
7. Click Save and Use to save the location information.
   

1. Go to Lists → New → Location OR press Ctrl+4.
2. Select a location for the bin from the location list.
3. Click Manage Bins link at the bottom left of Locations screen.
4. Enter a bin name in the Bin text box (Ex: isle1-10) in the Create Bins screen.
5. Add a description to the bin if necessary.
6. Click Add.
